شوربختانه باخبر شدیم که آقای مسعود حمید نیا معلم نخبه که از 16 سالگی به خاطر بهره ی هوشی بالا به دانشگاه راه یافته بود، روز شنبه 22 خرداد 1400 بوسیله ی سپاه پاسداران اندیمشک بازداشت و به نقطه ی نامعلومی منتقل شد.

مسعود حمیدنیا که همواره به کیفیت آموزش و پرورش کشور انتقاد داشته و خواهان آموزش و پرورش رایگان و با کیفیت بوده است ، در سال 1390 پس از 17 سال تدریس در رشته ی شیمی ، بوسیله هیات تخلفات اداری آموزش و پرورش استان خوزستان از شغل معلمی اخراج شد.
حمید نیا در طول 12 روز بازداشتی تنها یکبار به مدت 2 دقیقه با خانواده تماس تلفنی داشته است.
در پیگیریهای انجام شده هنوز محل بازداشت و شرایط نگهداری آقای حمیدی مشخص نیست.
