محمدحبیبی عضو هیات مدیره ی کانون صنفی معلمان تهران که درتاریخ 12 اردیبهشت 1397 در پی تجمع معلمان درجلوی سازمان برنامه و بودجه دستگیرومستقیم به اوین منتقل شده بود،پس از30 ماه زندان آزاد شد.
این معلم نویسنده که دردبیرستانهای شهریار تدریس می کرد،بوسیله ی بیدادگاههای حکومت در دادگاه بدوی به یازده سال وشش ماه زندان محکوم شد،این حکم ظالمانه درمرحله ی تجدید نظرخواهی به 7سال و 6ماه کاهش یافت.
اماحاکمان ستم پیشه به این راضی نشدند،وی را ازکارنیزاخراج کردند.
محمدحبیبی درپی فعالیتهای صنفی که دوش به دوش سایرهمکاران خودبارهامخالفت خودرابا کالایی سازی وپولی شدن تحصیل اعلام کرده بود، بارهابازداشت،بازجویی وشکنجه شده بود.
محمد حبیبی پس از آزادی درساعت 20 شب سه شنبه 20 آبان ماه 1399درمیان استقبال پرشورمعلمان تهران،کرج،اسلامشهرآزادو از جلوی زندان تهران بزرگ تادرب خانه بدرقه شد.
