صدای محمد درخشش در باره ی جنبش معلمان در دهه ی 40 

ما شروع کردیم به مبارزات و اولین نوا و اولین صدا بعد از کودتای 28 مرداد ما بودیم. باید بگویم که تمام جبهه‌ها، جبهه ملی و دیگران به تمام معنی خاموش بودند و به‌طورکلی پرچم مبارزه را انداخته بودند. تنها پرچمی که افراشته شد و چراغی که روشن شد، جامعه معلمان ایران بود. این واقعیتی است. این کار همین‌طور ساده نبود. روزها در زندان بودیم ما و یک گروهی را می‌گرفتند، رها می‌کردند و معلمین اعتراض می‌کردند. همین قضایا همین‌طور ادامه پیدا می‌کرد تا اینکه ما شبی اعلام اعتصاب کردیم در بین جمعیت خیلی عظیم… بلافاصله همان موقع آمدند بنده را گرفتند و بردند قزل‌قلعه و بنده را محاکمه نظامی کردند به جرم قیام علیه امنیت عمومی. … طبق یک برنامه مشخص چندروزه تعیین کرده بودیم، اعلام کرده بودیم که می‌دانستند معلمین برنامه چندروزه‌شان چیست. البته در این تاریخ هم در شهرستان‌ها به‌طورکلی اعتصاب شد و از مردم هم استمداد کردیم. دانشجویان و دانش‌آموزان، بازار. دیگر جنبه عام پیدا کرد. واقعاً از آن صورت، بعداً هم شعار، شعار آزادی بود. دیگر شعار گرسنگی معلم نبود. رفتند به جلوی مدرس و واقعیت این است که جمعیت کثیر و عظیمی از بازار بود. بازار بسته شد. تمام. مغازه‌های شاه‌آباد و اسلامبول و لاله‌زار بسته شد. اصناف و دانشجو و دانش‌آموز، این‌ها آمدند. بنده نبودم آنجا، یک جمعیت عظیمی که تا آن تاریخ واقعاً تهران چنین اجتماعی را به خودش ندیده بود، در جلوی مجلس تشکیل شد… اول قوای انتظامی و پلیس آمدند جلوی مجلس و حمله کرده بودند به اجتماع و تیراندازی هوائی که در همان‌جا دکتر خانعلی که یکی از معلمین مبارز بود کشته شد و چندین نفر زخمی شدند… آن روز یکی از کارهایی که حکومت کرد، ماشین آب‌پاشی بود که قبل اینکه حمله بکنند با ماشین‌های آب‌پاشی خواستند مردم را متفرق بکنند. این ماشین‌های آب‌پاشی تمام لباس زن‌ها را سرتاپا خیس کرد. تمام کسبه [خیابان شاه‌آباد که بورس پیراهن‌فروشی مردانه و پارچه‌فروشی بود] بااینکه دکانشان بسته بود در میتینگ بودند، تمام دکان‌ها را باز کردند. تمام پیراهن مردانه و تمام پارچه‌ها را آوردند و دادند به این زن‌ها که این‌ها پوشیدند، مجاناً… به‌هرحال باشگاه مهرگان را اشغال کرده بودند پلیس و سرباز و همه‌جا را بسته بودند ولی معلمین از جلوی مجلس نرفتند و مردم هم که می‌شنیدند از نقاط مختلف شهر می‌آمدند به این‌ها می‌پیوستند. آقای سردار فاخر رئیس مجلس بود. هیئت‌مدیره مجلس، وکلایی که هیئت‌مدیره بودند را فرستاد بیرون مجلس. خواستند صحبت بکنند، معلمین به آن‌ها اجازه ندادند. گفتند که «خب شما آمدید جلوی مجلس!» گفتند «ما آمدیم جلوی ساحت مقدس مجلس، ما این وکلا را قبول نداریم و با شما کاری نداریم.» از معلمین خواسته بودند که چند نفر از معلمین را هیئت‌مدیره بفرستید داخل مجلس و در آنجا با آقای سردار فاخر جلسه تشکیل بدهند و مذاکره کنند. این کار را یک‌جوری سروسامان بدهند. معلمین گفته بودند نماینده ما درخشش است. اعلامیه دادیم ما، تصویب کردیم این اعلامیه را. فقط اوست که می‌تواند صحبت کند. ما هیچ نوع نماینده ندایم…
بنده در قزل‌قلعه بودم در یک سلول و آمدند. شکست خوردند به هرحال گویا، بعد به من گفتند، گزارش به شاه داده بودند که قضیه به این صورت است. مردم هستند دیگر الان مسئله‌ای به نام معلم نیست. مسئله این است که الان پانصدهزار جمعیت تمام خیابان‌های شاه‌آباد و اسلامبول و نادری و سه‌راه شاه و اصلاً به‌طور کلی دور این باشگاه مهرگان حلقه زده بودند. و این خطرناک‌ترین وضع است. و جنازه خانعلی را هم برده بودند مخفی کرده بودند رژیم. بعد این‌ها می‌خواستند حرکت کنند و بروند در شهر شعار بدهند و به‌هرحال جنازه را بخواهند. آنجا بود که رژیم وحشت‌زده تصمیم گرفت بنده را از زندان بیرون بیاورد…
